Jef Van Damme


Jef Van Damme holds a law degree from the KU Leuven (1977), where he also studied Criminology.

In 1985 he was a fellow student under the European Young Lawyers' Scheme at the University of Edinburgh.

He has been a lawyer since 1982.

Benefitting from a broad experience in contract law, he also became familiar with more specific subjects from economic law such as commercial agencies, commercial practices, trademark law, etc., often with an international dimension.

For many years, Jef has been active in several organizations within the cultural sector. In 2002 Jef took part in a mission of the NGO Avocats Sans Frontières in Rwanda, as part of the “Justice Pour Tous” project.
